You’re Never Too Old to LEARN
Can you believe that it’s September already? How fast the time goes. Summer is here and then it’s gone. In many ways, we go back to our old routine.
In these days after Labor Day, our young people are settling back into their school routine. This reminds us of how important education is, not only to individuals, but also to us as a society. To be frank, when we stop leaning, we die; if not physically, at least intellectually and spiritually.
Now would be a great time to ask ourselves, “When was the last time I really learned something new?” Have I invested some time in picking up a new skill, getting acquainted with some social or political things, or even better, picked up the Scriptures or a spiritual book and learned how to grow closer to God?
Our modern world gives us so many ways to learn. Books are always good, but there are also podcasts, YouTube videos, community classes, Bible studies or adult education at our churches, and a whole lot more.
We ask our kids to get into the habit of going to school, doing their homework, making time for their extracurricular activities, etc. As summer ends and we resume some of our routine, perhaps we could add an activity in which we learn something. God have given us such a wide world with so many things we can be interested in. Pursue one! You will find that it makes you feel very good about yourself and about the world.
