Have You Heard of the BLASTD Effect?
As we continue to navigate the changes in our society, one thing we know for sure is that anxiety, stress and depression are on the rise! It is no wonder! But did you know regular porn use is on the rise at alarming rates as well?
Boredom, Loneliness, Anxiety, Stress, Tiredness and Depression, the “BLASTD effect” are common triggers for pornography use; add to those factors isolation, financial insecurities, etc., and you have a perfect recipe for porn companies to manipulate using our already frayed emotions!
That’s why it is so important to have a circle of support providing compassion, knowledge and care. And that’s the reason we at Integrity Restored developed the INTEGRITY CIRCLE COACHING PROGRAM. We recognized the need for weekly coaching sessions to help those addicted to pornography as well as spouses, caregivers, educators and clergy.
Each week we cover a specific topic and answer questions from our friends and community members. Questions like, how do I make a good confession and then really know that God forgives me? Or I’m a Christian, why isn’t prayer working to take this struggle away?
The Integrity Circle Coaching program covers the issue of pornography addiction to help those struggling, those who are affected by someone struggling (such as a spouse or parent) and those who are in a position of care (such as a priest, lay minister or educator). Each week you will be coached on specific subject matter relating to this addiction from a scientific and therapeutic standpoint and a Catholic faith-based perspective. This safe, welcoming community wants to come together to heal, learn, pray and support each other.
