In this podcast I interview licensed clinical therapist, Dr. Peter Kleponis, the senior advisor here at Integrity Restored, about 5 myths we tend to believe about therapy. This is a great show not just for those addicted to porn, but for their spouses also.
- Therapy is for weak people
- Therapy is for those with huge issues
- I don’t need therapy because I can go to confession and talk to friends
- Therapists are only interested in money.
- Therapy will cost too much.
Please enjoy the show and tell others about it!
Hey Matt, thanks for posting this. I’m a 24-year-old Theology graduate, and I’m currently recovering from an addiction to pornography and masturbation. I realised recently how much porn had shaped the way I thought of others, and also how I saw myself. Yesterday I booked my first appointment with a psychologist, which is a massive step for me – six months ago, I flat out refused when a friend suggested it. Thanks for all the work you do! God bless, Madi
