Be Not Afraid

Given the vast proliferation of pornography consumption in the US, we shouldn’t be surprised at how much traffic these sites receive, but I guess I was a little bit. Did you know that 3 out of the most visited sites on the internet are pornography sites? The rankings and the corresponding numbers are staggering! Never would I have guessed that porn sites would outrank the likes of eBay, Wikipedia, Twitter or Instagram, but they do and by a considerable margin!
So, you ask yourself, what does this have to do with me? Let me tell you, if you are not struggling (thank God!), you absolutely know someone who is; likely someone very close to you is struggling in silence. And I mean truly in silence because “we just don’t talk about this problem”. It’s too personal, too embarrassing, too private, too sexual. Well, if these rankings let you know anything it is that this is everywhere. Every family, parish, community, business, and organization is being affected by pornography. Time to take it out of the darkness and expose it to the Light! The light of truth and goodness of our faith based upon the teachings of the Church and the mercy and healing love of our Savior.
Please bring this up in discussions, “Be Not Afraid”, as our dear St. John Paul the Great was often saying. Let those who love you know if you need help and be that help for those who are struggling. Here at Integrity Restored, we exist to provide education, training and resources to fight the darkness of pornography and to bring God’s healing, mercy and truth to those who need it. Please download our free ebook pack, visit our website for more resources, share our Clergy Training Intensive info with a beloved priest and sponsor him through the parish to attend, or share our Bloom for Catholic Women site with a woman you know who may be struggling with betrayal trauma. These are just a few things we all can do to bring the Light to the darkness.
God bless you, be not afraid…
