From Prostitute to Saint: Learning from St Mary of Egypt
If you haven’t subscribed to our podcast, you totally should. Do it here.
In today’s podcast I share the story of St Mary of Egypt who, from the age of 12, lived a life of prostitution for 17 years before giving her life to Christ.
Actually, prostitute isn’t the right word because Mary said she didn’t even charge the men she slept with. In her words, “Do not think that I refused the money because I was rich. I lived in poverty and worked at spinning flax. To me, life consisted in the satisfaction of my fleshly lust.”
