Fr. Sean Kilcawley Explains How Porn Ruins Discernment Process
Fr. Sean Kilcawley of the Diocese of Lincoln, Neb., joined Dr. Mario Sacasa on his podcast Always Hope to discuss the effects pornography use has on our culture, but particularly the way it hinders vocational discernment.
Fr. Kilcawley discusses both his personal experience as well as the latest research on how pornography use affects the brain. While many conversations about pornography just skim the surface, Fr. Kilcawley and Dr. Mario dive deep into the cause of addiction, what addiction is and is not, and practical ways that individuals and the collective Faithful can fight this mammoth industry.

I don’t know who I am leaving this post with?Is it Fr Kilcawley?Or the doctor?
Well, what I am hoping you can help me with is the trauma I experienced going through the annulment process.
I was married to a man that unbeknownst to me , had a porn addiction and was using prostitutes before he married me.
When I spoke of all that in my questions to the tribunal I got re-victomized and have had betrayal trauma issues since that experience.I try to reach out and talk about it but to no avail.
You have to feel safe in order to do this!Very, very important.
I am getting re-victomized every time I talk .So now I am stuffing it down which is very unhealthy!
But there is nowhere to go with this issue.
Hoping you can help!?
I do not have the financial resources a d also very few can understand these issues(even we must be careful with clergy and couselors)they don’t have the training and can injure you more.
Please if you could direct me or help me personally?
Thanking you
Kathleen
